It is with great sadness that I write to inform you all of the sad passing of Reverend Carol Avery yesterday afternoon. Reverend Carol died after a relatively short period of illness and her death has come as a great shock to us all.
Reverend Carol was well known to the staff and children. She was a frequent attender at school events and Collective Worship, Community Café and through her Charity work, Mary’s child, she was instrumental in organizing the local food bank as well as direct support to families in need. She was also a Governor of the school, chairing the Children’s Committee.
From tomorrow, we will be setting up a Just Giving page for donations towards Mary’s Child Charity, and a book of condolences will be available in the school entrance hall if you wish to contribute.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Reverend Andrew and her children at this time.
